World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion Bobby Lashley is training night and day for his upcoming fight against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37. The 44-year-old American will put his title on the line at 'The Showcase of the Immortals' against former champion McIntyre.
Lashley took 17 years to become the WWE champion when he defeated The Miz in the main event of RAW last month to become the third Black man to win the coveted belt after Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kofi Kingston.
The army veteran and former MMA fighter will now look to defend the WWE title which McIntyre has won three times in the past. The event will be held at
Ahead of the big fight, Lashley took some time out from his busy schedule to speak to Indiatoday.in and during the interview he explained to us how he is training everyday and what his routine is like as he gears up to face McIntyre.
"My preparations have been serious. I can't remember the last time I trained this hard. I had to force myself to actually stay at home and not do anything yesterday (March 31).
"Sometimes you can do too much. It's a big match for me, probably one of the biggest in my entire career. The morning workouts, the evening workouts, the preparations, the film, everything is being put together perfectly right now
"It's a lot of work but I feel good, I feel like the best I've ever been," Lashley told India Today.
