Western disturbance active in Himachal: Yellow alert of rain in 5 days 11 districts; Meteorological Department released advisory

Western disturbances in Himachal Pradesh will show its effect for the next 5 days. Yellow alert of heavy rains has been issued for the next one week in all 11 districts except Tribal District Lahaul Spiti. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of rain at the rate of 65 to 115 mm per hour at some places. In view of heavy rains, advisory has also been released in the Meteorological Department. The department has asked to make proper drainage arrangements for the drainage of water in the rain. Farmers gardeners have also been advised to schedule pesticides sprays for agricultural yields. To avoid any kind of disaster, people have been issued this advisory to stay away from trees, to avoid a possible accident of falling trees or breakdowns. To avoid water borne diseases, the department has also asked to take special care of cleanliness. In the rainy season, people may also face basic inconvenience like electricity water traffic. Due to reduced visibility, people have been advised to drive a vehicle carefully. During the last 24 hours, Bhoranj had the highest 33 mm of rainfall. 25 mm of rain has been recorded in Bharadi, 11 in Nahan, 9 in Saluni, 7 in Kasauli, 6 in Pointa, 4 in Chamba, 5 mm in Narkanda and Kumarasain. Meanwhile, Udaipur road is blocked for traffic movement due to floods in Madagaran Nala of Udaipur Sub Division in Lahaul Spiti district. Surendra Pal, director of the weather department, said that along with the monsoon, Western disturbances are also very active in the state. Due to the activism of these two, the state will receive good rainfall for the next 5 days. Advisory has been issued to prevent rain.
