The torrential rains in Bilaspur on Thursday evening entered hundreds of houses including the collector bungalow. After the waterfall filled in the schools, the school located in the Dayalband along with Bandhwapara in Sarakanda was flooded. In such a situation, if the water is not drained till night, then the school children will have to be discharged on Friday. The water from Birkona Khar, the water filled in Jorapara, is continuously coming from the fields after the rains. Birkona Khar water is reaching from Bandhavapara side of Sarakanda region. Due to this, the drainage in Bandhwapara, Jorapara, Ashok Nagar area is on the rise and the roads and colonies have been flooded. Traffic was reduced, after filling the water in the square and intersections between the jam, there was a queue of vehicles after filling the water. . The old bus stand was flooded up to four feet. Similarly, there was a queue of vehicles after filling water in Ashok Nagar Chowk Trade Vihar, Devaki Nandan Chowk, Golbazar. Due to this, people remained in a hurry due to the jam. During the lightning kept crying in the city, electricity kept coming from evening to late night. This led to a black out situation in the city. Electricity was shut down in Sarakanda, Mangla, PGBT College substation, stating technical flaws. People were disturbed due to water filling in homes and power failure amidst the rains.
