Two brothers from Punjab were brutally beaten up in a private de -addiction center at Junction. Both the youths injured by the assault were admitted to the district hospital for treatment. On the other hand, the Collector has ordered an inquiry into the matter when the matter comes to cognizance. The police have registered a case in this regard. Ludhiana, a resident of Gurvindra Singh's son Mahendra Singh, informed the police that he had admitted both his sons Karmajit and Charanjit Singh to the New Life Digeration Center 15 days ago. On July 19, someone on the phone informed that both his sons were being assaulted at the de -addiction center. On receiving the information, on July 20, he reached the de -addiction center and saw that both his sons had serious injuries. He took both of them with him from there to Punjab. He came back on Friday and got him admitted to the district hospital. Both have deep marks of injuries on their body. Gurvindra alleges that Deepak Kumar, Gagan, Harpreet and 10-12 others of the Center beat up his sons and hurt. In view of the seriousness of the case, Collector Nathmal Didel has ordered SDM Dr. Avi Garg, CMHO Dr. Navneet Sharma, Deputy Director of Social Justice and Empowerment Department Vikram Singh to investigate.
