The 8th hearing was held on 6 January 2021 on the Capital Hill (US Parliament) in the US over the attack by former President Donald Trump's supporters. The US Congress Committee, who is hearing the case, has held former President Donald Trump responsible for the violence. The committee chairman Beni Thompson said- Trump did not fail to take action, but he decided not to take action during the violence. He chose the path of chaos and corruption to reverse the 2020 presidential election results. He lied and misused his position. He tried to destroy our democratic institutions. In the 8th hearing, who was a testimony of DITRARM's then Deputy National Security Advisor Matthew Potter and Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Mathews testified against him. Both resigned from their posts after the violence. Apart from Potter and Matthews, many more people were testified. The main things of the Jachan Committee were divided into 3 factions, it was told in the last hearing that a group was asking Trump to stop the violence. The group consisted of his daughter Ivanka Trump. Trump had some advisor in the second group. He was neutral about the case. They knew that action should be taken, but Trump would not take action immediately. The third group belonged to the Deflex-Blam category. It consisted of former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows of the White House. The group said that the violence that was committing was not a pro-Trump.
