The inquiry committee constituted by the National Green Tribunal on Friday in the case of loping of trees without the permission of the forest department on the Gugret-Gagretpur Chowk road of Gagret of Una assembly constituency in Himachal, reached Gagret on Friday and investigated the matter. The inquiry committee also called the Public Works Department, Forest Department and the police to call their side and also questioned the complainant. The next hearing in the National Green Tribunal of the case will be held on September 28. The fruitful and other trees planted on the Gagret-Gagret-Dolatpur Chowk road of Gagret were lodged. It is alleged that the Public Works Department, without the permission of the forest department, lodged fruit trees and when the matter came to the attention of the forest department, the forest department had registered a case with the Gagret police station. No evidence was found in the police investigation. Due to which it would be known that the Public Works Department had lodged these trees, due to this, the police had registered a case against the contractor who lodged these trees and proceeded the investigation. Meanwhile, a person from Dioli village had complained to the National Green Tribunal through its e-mail. To know the real situation, an investigation team was formed based on the Regional Officer of the Union Environment and Forest Ministry of the National Green Tribunal, Principal Chief Aranya Pal Forest, State Pollution Control Board and Deputy Commissioner Una.
