Three killed due to lightning in Azamgarh: accident occurred while transplanting paddy, six people scorched

Incidents of lightning from the sky came to light on Friday in different areas of Azamgarh district of UP. Three people, including the woman, died in this accident. Six people were scorched there. All the scorched people have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The accident occurred while transplanting, Pinki Rajbhar (25) and his sister Priya Rajbhar (22), resident of Sarai Khursu village of Kotwali area, were planting paddy. Meanwhile, lightning fell and both sisters were hit by him. Apart from this, Anita (35), Manisha (22), Soni (30), Renu (30) of the village also got scorched. All were taken to CHC Tikargad Lalganj for immediate treatment, where doctors declared Pinky alias Priyanka dead after investigation. While Priya is undergoing treatment, he returned home after other primary treatment. Apart from this, Akash Kumar (23) got scorched in Habatpur Dubhon village of Tarwan police station area. He was rushed to CHC Lalganj in a hurry. Where doctors also declared him dead. Anuj Kumar (22) son Awadhesh and Kiran (26) daughter Amarnath, resident of Budhanpur village, were planting paddy in their respective fields, during this time lightning fell and both were hit by him. Anuj died on the spot, while Kiran was severely scorched. The severely scorched Kiran has been admitted to CHC Ranipur. Police has sent the bodies of the three dead for postmortem.
