Sukhbir Badal has dissolved the entire organization of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). All the units of the Akali Dal, the core committee, office officials along with all the wing have also been dissolved. This decision has been taken after the increasing rebellion over the leadership of the Akali Dal. First MLA Manpreet Ayali questioned the leadership. After that senior leader and core committee member Professor Prem Singh Chandumajra was also angry. Late night Sukhbir Badal announced to dissolve the organization. Earlier, Sukhbir also went to celebrate Chandumajra. Those who had questioned the Jhunda Committee report in the presence of the head in the core committee. According to the suggestion of the Jhunda Committee, a poll review committee was formed under the leadership of senior leader Iqbal Jhunda to brainstorm the election defeat. The organizational structure was disturbed only on the suggestion of this committee. The Akali Dal launched the government in Punjab from 2007 to 2017. The subsequent 2 assembly elections had to face a crushing defeat. In 2022, the Akali Dal was reduced to just 3 seats. The rebellion in the Akali Dal started in Punjab Assembly with party leader MLA Manpreet Ayali. He did not vote for BJP -backed NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu, opposing the party's decision. Ayali boycotted the presidential election. Ayali said that without any confidence in Sikh, Punjab and other issues, this support was given.
