Share Market: Sensex gained 1041 points to 56857, Nifty across 16929, Bajaj Finserv and Kotak Mahindra boom

The Indian stock market closed at the high level of about 2 months on Wednesday. The Sensex rose 1,041.47 points or 1.87% to 56,857.79 and the Nifty closed at 287.80 points or 1.73% at 16,929.60. Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank and SBI Life Insurance Nifty were gained shares, while Mr. Cements, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement, Cipla and Bajaj Auto declined, while banks, IT, metal, power, power, power, power, power, power, Realty sector closed up 1-2%. The BSE midcap index rose about 1% and the smallcap index 0.6%. The Indian rupee closed up 15 paise up to 79.75 today as compared to the closure of 79.90 per dollar on Wednesday. US Fed has increased interest rates by 0.75% for the second consecutive time to control inflation. However, it has also indicated that the speed of further increase in rates will be low. This has improved the market sentiments. On Wednesday, Dow Jones gained 436 points or 1.4% and it closed at 32,197.59. The S&P 500 index rose by 2.62% and closed at 4,023.61.
