On Friday, a bus was hit by a truck from the truck to school in Dasuha in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. A class 9 student died in the accident, while many children are said to be injured. The injured children are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Jalandhar. The truck driver escaped from the spot. Police is investigating the accident. Around 7 am, Saint Paul Convent School bus was carrying children from Tanda. When the bus reached near Dasuha's Reliance Petrol Pump, the truck coming from Jalandhar hit it from behind. At the time when the accident happened, there were about 12-14 children, a driver and a conductor in the bus. In the incident, a 9th grade student Harman Saini son Pradeep Singh resident Ludhi Chakk Tanda has died. 10-12 children have been injured, 2 of which have been admitted to a private hospital in Jalandhar in critical condition. There is an atmosphere of panic among the parents of school children due to frequent accidents. At present, the truck driver is being absconding from the spot. This is the second major accident in the same month in Julai in this month. Earlier on July 4, three members of the same family were killed in a painful road accident near the Great Punjab Resort on the Jalandhar-Pathankot highway. While one person was injured.
