The last date of Sawan month next week is full moon. This time this full moon will be on two days on 11 and 12 August. The full moon will start at 11.08 am on 11 August and will be full moon till 7.16 am on August 12. After the sunrise on August 12, it will be more auspicious to celebrate Raksha Bandhan on August 11 than on the full moon for less than three Muhurta after sunrise. The month of Bhadrapada will begin after Sawan. Raksha Bandhan festival will be celebrated on August 12 in many areas due to almanac differences. According to Pt. Manish Sharma, Jyotishacharya of Ujjain, there will be Bhadra Kaal all day on Raksha Bandhan. On this day, Bhadra will remain till 8.30 pm. It is believed that Raksha Sutra should not be tied in Bhadra period. Raksha Bandhan will have a variable chaughdiya from 8.30 am to 9.55 pm. In this time the Raksha Sutra can be tied. Will be done. Shivling must be anointed on this date. If you do Abhishek water, milk as well as Panchamrit, then it will be more auspicious. Panchamrit is made by mixing milk, curd, ghee, sugar candy and honey. After offering Panchamrit, anoint it with holy water. Offer bilva patra, figures flowers, dhatura as well as necklaces and worship materials. Chant the mantras of Shiva. Do the aarti by lighting incense and lamp.

Light a lamp in Hanuman ji's temple on the full moon, recite Hanuman Chalisa or Sundarkand. Donate money and grains in a cowshed. Offer saffron mixed milk to Bal Krishna and then offer water. Wear yellow bright clothes to Bal Gopal after bathing. Offer necklace. Apply tilak, make up. Offer Makhan-Mishri with Tulsi. Krish Krishnaya Namah: Chant the mantra.
