Chambal Sawai Madhopur-Nadoti drinking water project work has not been completed even after 15 years. The work of this project has been stalled for a long time. This scheme was approved in the year 2004 for Karauli-Sawaimadhopur district. The work of this scheme of Rs 567 crore started on October 3, 2005. The project work was to be completed on October 2, 2008, but due to non -completion of work on time, the department has extended time by eight times so far. At the same time, the tender company has been fined 17.37 crore. The benefit of the project is proposed to get 416 villages in Sawai Madhopur district and 510 villages in Karauli district. Demand is being done. While they are being paid on the basis of 2005. In such a situation, work has been stopped from the company from October 2018. According to the information, the work of 72 percent has been completed in Sawai Madhopur-Nadauti Pagayal project at present. The project is now yet to be laid. The work of this scheme has been closed since October 2018. In such a situation, people sitting hoping of water will not get the water of Sawaimadhopur-Nadoti project this year. The government is no longer showing interest in the scheme.

Since then, work has been closed till now. A total of 68.5 km pipeline is to be laid between Sawai Madhopur to Gangapur. Out of these, only 27.9 km of pipeline has been laid, while the work of laying pipeline for 38 km is left.
