Now the elevated road to land on the ground: NHAI will complete this project, appointed management consultant to prepare DPR

To get rid of increasing traffic pressure in Jodhpur, it has been paved by the construction of the proposed elevated road on its Heartline Road. For a long time, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to take this important project entangled in political tussle for a long time. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has recently appointed Project Management Consultant. Through which DPR will be prepared soon. After the DPR is ready, the construction work will start by inviting its tenders.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot gave this information through a tweet. Union Water Power Minister and Jodhpur MP Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also met Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi on Saturday and urged to start the most important project for Jodhpur for Rs 1700 crore. Gadkari apprised him of the development of this project. Today Gehlot spoke to Gadkari. During this time Gadkari reported the decision to complete this project through the National Highway Authority of India. It will cost around 1700 crores. It will be the second longest elevated road in the country, which will be built on a single pillar. If the work is done on time, then the foundation stone will be completed in four and a half years. The number of single pillars will be 220, although experts say that the number of pillars may be low in the ground's load bearing capacity (SBC). This is done to balance radius.

Years are old Plan

The plan of elevated road has been going on for years, but it is not taking the name of taking tangible form Is. In the year 2012-13, the then Mayor Rameshwar Dadhich started work on this plan while as CM for the second time of Ashok Gehlot. Then this plan was proposed on the Public Private Partnership (PPP), but by the arrival of the feasibility report, the government changed in the state and the work stopped. Keeping in mind the convenience of the city, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced to create a DPR of this elevated road in the July 2019 budget. After this, JDA had tasked Barodara's firm Jio Design and Research Company to create a feasibility report. The JDA sent the DPR to the state government after applying the report. After this, a crisis arose over money.

This project got entangled in politics after getting entangled in politics. Shekhawat tried at his level and pressured Nitin Gadkari to complete it through the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. After this, Gadkari gave his consent that the central government will complete this project. At the same time, the city body minister Shanti Dhariwal, the city body of the Gehlot government, during his visit to Jodhpur, dismissed this project. This once again raised controversy. At the same time, in response to a question by Rajendra Gehlot of Rajya Sabha MP Jodhpur, Gadkari replied in Lieki that no such project is considered. This caused politics to heat up. Later, Chief Minister Gehlot and Union Minister Shekhawat spoke to Gadkari at their own level. In a meeting with Shekhawat, Gadkari agreed that the Union Ministry will take up the project.
