The short film "Mela" (English Tittle Carnival), directed by EMRC students Pranjal Joshi and Aniket Trivedi of Devi Ahilya University, has been selected for the student Oscar. The film has been selected not only in India, but also from the entire Asia in the Academy Awards (Oscar). The film will be screened under the International Native category. Mela is a Children's drama genre film. Through all the struggle of their everyday life, 3 homeless children are struggling to deposit some money, the opportunity is the fair in the city. But oblivious to that night, they do not know innocent whether the time will be full of thrill or an accident! The film stars Yash Kanherre, Aditya Cholakar and Vansh Gandhi in the lead roles. The film has won the award. The film is in the competition for the student section of the world's biggest award-Oscars. The dirty short film has been screened at 25 different film festivals in the country and abroad. The film is being appreciated in all countries including France, Italy, Greece, Spain, America and England. The film award has also been won at a France's festival. The entire team of the film, Dr. Chandan Gupta, Director of EMRC SEMRC Department, said that the entire team of the film has only EMRC students. The film is written, directed and edited by Pranjal Joshi and Aniket Trivedi. Cinematography has been done by Aniket Trivedi, Kunal Rao and Atharva Bhave.
