India pacer Mohammed Siraj sent a heartfelt thank you note to Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of the Mahindra Group, after receiving the SUV which the businessman presented to the heroes of India's Test series victory in Australia earlier this year.

Mohammed Siraj revealed he was not there at his city to personally receive the gift but his brother and mother were at the Mahindra showroom to get the brand new SUV, Mahindra Thar. Notably, Siraj is in Chennai training with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in a bio-secure environment for Indian Premier League 2019.

Siraj took to social media to share a photograph of his brother and mother receiving the SUV in Hyderabad.
"Words fail me at this moment. There is nothing I can say or do that will adequately express how I feel about your beautiful gift @mahindrathar . For now, I'll just say a big fat thank you #Anandmahindra sir. Unfortunately I was not available so this beast was received by My Mother and my elder brother," Siraj wrote.

Anand Mahindra had made a special plea to Mahindra Auto to gift Thar SUVs to 6 India players, including 5 who had made their debut in the hard-fought 4-Test series. Mahindra said he wanted to gift the SUVs to the 6 of them from his own pocket for their inspiring performances during India's 2-1 series win.

Siraj made a dream Test debut in Australia as he overcame the loss of his father to deliver match-winning performances in the 4-Test series. Siraj topped the bowling charts for India, picking up 13 wickets in 3 matches. Siraj picked up a 5-wicket haul that inspired India to a historic win in the series decider in Gabba, Brisbane in January.

Notably, India and Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer T Natajaan had taken to social media last week to thank Anand Mahindra after receiving his SUV. In a lovely gesture, the 30-year-old sent his signed Gabba Test jersey as a return gift.

"Playing cricket for India is the biggest privilege of my life. My #Rise has been on an unusual path. Along the way, the love and affection I have received has overwhelmed me. The support and encouragement from wonderful people, helps me find ways to explore the impossible.

"As I drive the beautiful @Mahindra_Thar home today, I feel immense gratitude towards Shri @anandmahindra for recognising my journey & for his appreciation. I trust sir, that given your love for cricket, you will find this signed shirt of mine from the #Gabba Test, meaningful," Natarajan tweeted.
