A person has been arrested for cheating a Sikh priest on the pretext of giving a chance to kirtan in America. The accused has been identified as Sanjay Yadav (51), a resident of Madhya Pradesh. Police said that the accused had allegedly carried out cheating of more than one lakh rupees.

Police said that a complaint was received from the chief Granthi Baldev Singh at a gurdwara in Delhi. In this, he alleged that a person approached him on WhatsApp to provide 'Kirtan' opportunity on weddings and other cultural occasions in various cities of America. He came into the talk of the accused.

₹ 1.25 lakh transferred to the accused's account, the accused transferred ₹ 1.25 lakh to the bank account number given by the accused. Police said that the complainant was also cheated in the name of visa fee and money exchange. Police said that technical analysis of call details and money transactions revealed that the accused was working from various places in Indore.

The accused registered cases of fraud in Delhi and Mumbai DCP (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi said that raids were conducted in Indore and Yadav was arrested on Saturday. Ten mobile phones, 11 debit cards and an Aadhaar card have been recovered from him. Police said that Yadav used his son's SIM card and bank accounts to contact the victim and transfer money. According to the information, the accused have two fraud cases in Delhi and Mumbai.
