A fighter jet of Air Force Mig-21 Bason (Trainer Aircraft) crashed at Bhimra village of Barmer in Rajasthan at 9.10 pm on Thursday night. It caught fire and the debris was scattered within a radius of about half a kilometer. Both the pilots aboard the plane have been martyred in the accident. On the night, the Air Force took possession of the area around half a kilometer around the scene. They are busy collecting scattered debris. More than 100 soldiers and Air Force officials have reached the spot. Some videos of the incident have surfaced, in which the wreck of the aircraft is on fire after the accident. Body parts are scattered. A mobile nearby is also broken. Where the aircraft fell, there has been a big pit within a radius of 15 feet. This is the eighth case of military aircraft accident in Barmer in 9 years. The sound of a blast heard up to 3 km was shaken by a mig-21 crash explosion. About 45 minutes after the accident, police and army officers reached the spot. MiG-21 took off from Utlalai. There was a sudden technical fault in MiG near Bhimra. It is being told that the parachute could not open during the crash. MiG crashed on a sand mound and a fire broke out due to fuel. It is also coming to light that a house has also been damaged during the accident. However, it has not been confirmed by the officials yet. The Army has ordered the court of inquiry to find out the causes of the accident. At the same time, condolences to the family of those who lost their lives.
