Wondering if it would have been out if Krunal Pandya's broken part of the bat ended up directly hitting the wicket.

Virat Kohli's RCB rode on a superb five-wicket haul from Harshal Patel to restrict the defending champions to 159 for 9 after electing to bowl first.

Harshal became the first bowler in IPL history to pick 5 wickets against Mumbai Indians. He picked 3 wickets in the final over and gave away just 1 run to finish with outstanding bowling figures of 5 for 27 from 4 overs.

Debutant Kyle Jamieson and Washington Sundar bagged a wicket each for RCB.

MI opener Chris Lynn, playing his first match for the franchise, justified his selection in the playing XI with 49 runs off 35 balls while Suryakumar Yadav (31) and Ishan Kishan (28) also played crucial knocks but the rest of the batsmen had a disappointing outing for the five-time champions.
