The biggest T20 league in the world is all set to begin in hours from now. Yes, it's going to be a blockbuster Friday with some of the biggest names in world cricket clashing against each other in the tournament opener between Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Hardik Pandya and many others will be up and running at Chennai's Chepauk from 7:30 pm today. But eyes will also be on hard-hitting Carribean batsman Kieron Pollard who is just 2 sixes shy of joining an elusive group of IPL superstars.
The 33-year-old is on the cusp of becoming only the sixth player in the history of IPL to hit 200 sixes.
He will join compatriot Chris Gayle (349), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star AB de Villiers (235), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni (216), Mumbai Indians (MI) Rohit Sharma (213), and RCB captain Virat Kohli (201) in the elite club.
