The official of the Edhi Trust gave this information. He told that this incident happened in Rohri city. There was a huge crowd during the procession, due to which people suffocated and this caused this accident. There was a stir after the accident. The unconscious people were rushed to the hospital in a hurry.

The officer said that six people involved in the procession died of suffocation while dozens of unconscious/sick and were taken to the hospital. Actually, there are narrow streets in the city of Rohri. At this time there is also the scorching heat and humid weather. People felt suffocated during the procession and died.

Processions are taken out in all small and big cities of Pakistan on the 9th and 10th day of Muharram. Thousands of people are involved in this procession. During this time thousands of policemen and paramilitary rangers are deployed to provide security. According to the information, strict security arrangements were made during the procession in Sindh. Three army companies were deployed. Apart from this, thousands of policemen, 250 Rangers were deployed. Dozens of surveillance cameras were installed to keep a close watch on the procession.
