Jhulan Mahotsav started in Vrindavan: Raslila will be held for 14 days in Phogla Ashram

The 14 -day 40th Jhulan Mahotsav was launched under the joint aegis of Vrindavan Raslila Institute and Shri Bhagwan Bhajashram at Shreeji Sadan (Phogla Ashram) in Ramanreti, Vrindavan. The festival was inaugurated by Jagadguru Baba Balramdas Devacharya in front of Thakurji, lighting a lamp and aarti. After this, the renunciation of Nitya Rasleela and other leelas was staged. Jagadguru Baba Balramdas Devacharya said that Raslila is a very ancient tradition of Braj. Its discharge causes the Braj culture strengthened, enhanced and flourished. Swami Devkinandan Sharma has been doing this tradition every year in the Phogla Ashram for the last 39 years with full dedication. Gopal Chaturvedi said that Raslila is the main means of tasting the pastimes of Lord Krishna. It is our good fortune that we get the philosophy of their pastimes in Sridham Vrindavan. Rasacharya Swami Dr. Devkinandan Sharma said that Raslila tradition is an invaluable heritage of Braj culture. Innumerable people are cremated and benefited by visiting it. That is why millions of domestic foreign devotees come to Vrindavan to see Raslila. On this occasion, Shri Bhagwan Bhajashram Chairman Chandbihari Pataudia, Treasurer Bihari Lal Saraf, Radheshyam Dhandharia, Jhulan Mahotsav chief Yajman Girish Gupta, young litterateur Dr. Radhakant Sharma, Pandit Bihari Lal Vashistha, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Saurabh Sharma, Ishwar Chandra Rawat etc. were present.
