With the transplanting of paddy, the Haryana government has started preparing for stubble management. So that this year there is no chance of burning stubble. For this, the government has decided to give huge discounts on stubble management machinery. It is expected that due to exemption, farmers will buy machines and the incidents of stubble burning will be reduced. Rebate will be available for both individual and institutional categories. For this, farmers can apply in the next 20 days. The government hopes that the sale of more machines will reduce the incidence of stubble burning. Applications are being invited about it. In which farmers will be given 50 percent grant in the individual category. That is, the government will pay half the money of the machine as much as the machine. Whereas 80 percent grant is being given on setting up custom hiring centers by farmers' cooperative society, FPO, registered Kisan Samiti and Panchayat. That is, they will get a machine by paying only 20 percent money. Its last date has been set till 25 August 2022. The online application will be on the department's website (https://agriharyana.gov.in/). That is, now there is only 20 days left for this work. Apply early and get exemption.

Officials of Agriculture Department said that under the said scheme, the beneficiaries will be selected by the District Level Executive Committee constituted under the chairmanship of the District Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district. After the selection, farmers can buy a straw management machine from the manufacturers of their choice by negotiating from the agricultural machine makers included in the list. Agricultural machinery manufacturers can also register on the portal of the department for the supply of machines in the scheme.

Haryan Paddy is a producer. Here the government proved to be a failure last year in managing stubble. It is at number three in the case of stubble burning incidents. According to a report by the Central Government, 6987 incidents of burning of straw were recorded in Haryana from 15 September 2021 to 30 November 2021.

4202 incidents of burning of stubble here were held here in 2020. In such a situation, it can be understood that the state government had failed to reduce the incidence of stubble burning last year. In such a situation, preparations are being done from now on this time. It remains to be seen how successful the state government will be in this effort.
