Broken components can damage the sealing membrane on the fuel pressure regulator. Due to this, under rare conditions, it can limit the flow of fuel to the point where the car stops. Audi says that due to malfunction in this fuel pump, its emission control system can also be affected. Its effect on the car can also be that the car should not perform a lot of rough or start to run.
