Flood situation in village Darvesh of Phagwara: Water from the city and surrounding villages entered the village, officers reached the spot

Flood -like conditions have been created in the village Darvesh under the district Kapurthala and sub -division Phagwara. Due to continuous rains for the last two days, the water of the city and nearby villages has been gathered in the body. The fields in the village took the form of a pond. After so much water has come in the village, the system of administration is also broken. Administrative officials and other departments have also reached the information of flood -like conditions in the village Darvesh. The crop has deteriorated due to heavy rainy water in the village. The villagers said that the crop has been destroyed in the fields ranging from 200 to 250 hundred acres. Due to the gathering of water in many villages and city, flood situation has been created and many of their animals have also drowned in this water, while the reason for the excess of water in the canal falling under the district Jalandhar is over. The water has come on the road and the problem has arisen for light people. The edges are being elevated with mud by the activists of administration and social service organizations in the village with the help of JCB. The road has been made for water by breaking the main road of the village so that the level of water that has taken place can be reduced. The people of the village asked the administrative officials in the village to drain the water by putting pumps in the village. He also said that due to sudden water coming in the village, people should be compensated for crops, livestock and loss of houses. People say that the way the flood situation has been created in the village, there has been a lot of damage to the people, while the administrative officials in the village said that arrangements are being made to remove the water. The loss of the people due to the floods will be assessed. Whatever the loss is, the report will be sent to the District Collector and whatever appropriate compensation will be given.
