This month, so far, thousands of farmers in the entire state have registered through post offices under the 'Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme'. Registractor can also be done online. For the farmer's Khatauni, ID Card (Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID card, driving license) and bank passbook will have to be brought with. A premium of 2% and 1.5% will have to be paid for kharif and rabi crops. Currently, the last date for registration for covering kharif crops under the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme is 31 July 2022. This scheme will prove to be effective in the natural disaster.
