The Excise Department raided the city of Ludhiana in Punjab on Thursday evening and recovered 20 boxes of illegal liquor. 2 cars have also been found and 2 people have also been arrested. 83 fake (excise label) has been recovered. The accused were identified as Vineet Kumar and Tanveer Singh resident Chandigarh. Prince Kukreja, a resident of Chandigarh, is still out of police custody. Both the accused have been taken to the police station number 5. The FIR has been lodged against the accused. During the argument, it was revealed that the accused smuggle the expensive Scotch-Viskey in Punjab and the accused is part of a very large racket. The main smuggler will be arrested soon after questioning the accused on remand. Giving information, the official of the Excise Department said that the government has given orders to stop smuggling of illegal liquor. The department was informed that two liquor smugglers were coming in two cars near Bharat Nagar Chowk in Ludhiana. Both the accused are going to smuggle liquor in different areas of the city. The accused surrounded the Excise Department officials near Bharat Nagar Chowk by blocking the accused. When they stopped the accused for checking, they started driving the car away. Police surrounded them and controlled them. When the accused were searched, 20 boxes of illegal liquor were recovered from cars.
