This year the number of institutes offering engineering programs in regional languages ​​in the country has doubled. Initially there was a decrease in the number of these institutions. In fact, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved the Academic Year 2022-23 and approved 20 institutions offering B.Tech degree programs in regional languages. In this way, the total number of institutes teaching engineering in regional languages ​​has now increased to 39. These institutes are present in 11 states, where students are being taught engineering.

According to the report of Indian Express, the highest institutes to teach engineering in regional languages ​​are in Madhya Pradesh, where there are 12 such institutes. . After this, there are 10 in Tamil Nadu and 4 in Uttar Pradesh. This year, engineering teaching has also been allowed in Gujarati. Apart from this, engineering is also being taught in Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Bengali. In all these languages, Hindi is the most popular among students. Engineering is being taught in Hindi language in 21 institutes. There are 10 such technical universities in Tamil Nadu where it is being taught in Tamil.
