Drug racket busted in Mumbai, 700 kg drugs worth 1400 crores seized

Anti-Narcotics Cell of Mumbai Crime Branch, Worli Unit has busted a large drug racket. After a raid on a drug construction unit in Nalasopara in Palghar district, more than 700 kg of Mefedron worth Rs 1400 crore has been seized and five people have been arrested in this connection. Giving information on Thursday, an official said that the anti -narcotic cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Crime Branch raided the unit.
he said, this action was taken on the basis of specific information. An ANC team raided the premises and during that time it was revealed that the banned drug Mefedron was made there. The officer said, four accused have been arrested from Mumbai, while one person was arrested in Nalasopara. He said that this is one of the biggest seizures of drugs by the police of the city in recent times. Mefedron is also called 'Myu Meau' or MD.
