The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is knocking at the door and former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain held a question-answer round on Twitter. We have compiled a few answers from the said session.

Dinesh Karthik, India’s hero of the Nidahas Trophy final, had earlier opened up about his friend and mentor Abhishek Nayar’s contribution to his improvement as a T20 finisher. He has once again credited Nayar for his role in taking his career to an ‘upward spiral’.

“It has been an upward spiral since I've started working with him and the preparations are now a lot more different than what used to be before,” Karthik answered to a question about Nayar’s role in his career.

Another fan asked Karthik about the ‘most exciting KKR recruitment’ in the IPL 2021 auction.
“It's always great to have Shakib Al Hasan with us, he has been a very exciting recruit for us. He has played with KKR before so it's great to have him back in our team,” Karthik answered.

Shakib Al Hasan has returned back to his former IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after being bought for Rs 3.2 crore in the IPL 2021 auction. He was part of KKR's 2012 and 2014 teams which won the title under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir.

Last year, Dinesh Karthik stepped down from KKR captaincy mid season to focus more on his batting and handed over the leadership role to Eoin Morgan.

KKR will start their 2021 IPL campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 11, in Chennai.
