CWG 2022 Results: Hima-PV Sindhu's victory, Panghal confirmed medal

The day is mixed for India on Thursday in the Commonwealth Games. There were some good news for India, and some disappointing news was also received. Hope of India's medal, male boxer Amit Panghal has confirmed the medal in these games. Amit confirmed the medal as soon as he made it to the semi -finals in the men's 51 kg category. India's star sprinter Hima Das stood first in her heat in 200m event to finish for the semi -finals. He was at the forefront of which Roda Najobu of Jambia was second from 23.85 seconds, while Uganda's Jasnant Nayamhoungi finished third from the time of 24.07 seconds. In the women's 200 meter race, six heat will be rectified for the top 16 semi -finals. Hima won Heat-2 but in Heat 1, Nigeria's Favor Off Tilli (22.71 seconds) and Ilane Thompson Hera (22.80 seconds) took a much better time from them. At least six players took a better time compared to Hima which reached the semi -finals.

Top Indian badminton player PV Sindhu also entered the pre -quarterfinals of the Commonwealth Games women's singles event with an easy win. Two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu defeated Fatima Naba Abdul Razzaq of Maldives 21-4 21-11 in just 21 minutes in the round 32.
