CWG 2022: Amit Panghal, Sagar Ahlawat reaches semi -finals, medal for India

Amit Panghal has defeated Lenin Muligan of Scotland in the quarter-final match of the men's 51 kg category at the Commonwealth Games on Thursday and secured a place in the semi-finals. With this, Amit has confirmed the medal as soon as he stepped into the final-4. Amit won a silver medal in the last Commonwealth Games played in the Gold Coast. He will try to win a gold medal this time. Apart from him, Sagar Ahlawat has also touched India. Sagar defeated Caddy Evans with the decision of consensus and confirmed the medal in the semi -finals.

Amit initially tried to understand his opponent's strategy while patience. He was trying to sensitize his opponent and then he put some good punch. He hit accurate targets through hooks. He also visited Lenin's Panchs. At the end of the first round, Amit hit two accurate targets for Jab and then scored points through the loft hook.
