On Thursday, parents and children staged a sit -in at the collectorate gate due to lack of admission of children in selected schools under the Right to Education Act. Officials of Progressive Association of Parents Awareness (Team Papa) were also involved in the dharna. Arriving at the protest site, ACM Pancham Vijay Sharma spoke of action on not having admission in two days. Under the Right to Education Act, many children have not been admitted to the selected school. The school management is not admission of children. In such a situation, the children, who have been troubled for admission for four months and their parents reached the collectorate under the leadership of Team Papa's national convenor Deepak Singh Sarin. All the people sat on the dharna outside the collectorate's gate. Deepak Sarin said that even after continuous complaints, neither the education department is taking any care nor private school. The administration is also not able to get children admitted. It is clear that the administration is also bowed down in front of the school management. If the admission of children in this way will not be done this year, then who will be responsible for the loss of 1 year of children. Convenor of the organization's ward number 96 Harjinder Singh said that there are more than one luxurious school in his ward, but when there is talk of admission in schools, the poor parents do not allow the poor parents to enter even inside the school gate. What kind of education is this policy, where education is imparted by looking at the status. ACM Pancham Vijay Sharma arrived at the assurance of admission in the day. He listened to the parents. After this, he spoke to the officials of the Education Department. He directed that the school which does not enroll the selected children under RTE in two days, should be recommended to dissolve the recognition. The dharna included Sapna Gupta, Rakhi Singh, Jayveer Singh, Sumit Saxena, Manoj Goyal, Shailendra Singh Sikarwar, Ravi Arora, Bindu Verma, Deepak Verma and Gopal Sharma etc. Copyright © 2022-23 DB Corp Ltd., All rights reservedthis website Follows the DNPA Code of Ethics.
