Nahai Khay's Days

Kharna days

The second day of Chhath Puja is called Kharna. It is also known as Lohanda. The fast begins on the day of Kharna. On this day, kheer is made at night and after eating 36 hours of Nirjala fast is kept. Prasad of worship is made on the second day of Chhath Puja.

Arghya to the sinking sun

On the day of Shukla Shashthi of Kartik month, there is a tradition of worshiping the sixth maiya and Sun God. Arghya is offered to the sinking sun on this day.

Arghya to the rising sun

ends the last day of Chhath Puja. On this day, the fast is concluded by offering arghya to the rising sun and 36 hours of Nirjala fast is passed.
