BJP core committee meeting held in Lucknow: Discussion on 8 seats of Legislative Council; Central leadership sought a panel of two names of candidates

By -elections in 2 seats of UP Legislative Council are to be held. Along with this, members are to be nominated in 6 seats. Therefore, the core committee meeting was held today to discuss the names of the candidates on these 8 seats. CM Yogi Adityanath including both Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Organization General Secretary Sunil Bansal and acting state president Swatantra Dev Singh joined. The second seat is vacant by the resignation of former member Thakur Jayveer Singh. The process of filing nominations for the by -election on 2 seats of the council has started from Monday. Nominations will be filed by 31 July and elections will be held on August 11. The name in the Core Committee is unable to agree on the names of the claimants in the Core Committee, a panel is sent to the central leadership. They declare candidates. According to sources, this time there is no consensus between the members of the core committee about the names of the claimants in the by -election. Therefore, the names of the candidates are not being decided yet.
