Bihar Election Results Live: JDU has finally emerged ahead in Tarapur

Counting is going on for the Tarapur assembly seat in Munger district of Bihar. The seat fell vacant after the death of JDU MLA from Tarapur, Mevalal Choudhary. 50 percent voting took place in this seat. Today after the counting of votes is over, it will be known with whom the people of Tarapur are with.

In the first round, JDU candidate Rajiv Singh got 3201 votes and Arun Sah got 2977 votes.

14 tables have been set up for the counting of votes in the Tarapur seat. Counting of postal ballots will take place on table 5, while counting of votes cast in EVMs will be done on table 9.

Live-2.15 AM : RJD state president Jagdanand Singh reached Munger

RJD fears that there may be disturbances in the counting of votes for the Tarapur by-election. Because of this, RJD’s state president Jagdanand Singh has reached Munger. A team of leaders led by Jagdanand Singh will oversee the counting of votes for the Tarapur assembly by-election.

Live-1.30 AM: There is a competition between them in Tarapur

RJD had fielded Arun Sah as its candidate for the Tarapur seat. While JDU fielded Rajiv Singh. On the other hand, Congress candidate Rajesh Mishra is also contesting in Tarapur, while Chandan Kumar of LJP Ramvilas is also presenting his claim. With the arrival of Lalu Yadav, the fight here is mainly believed to be between JDU and RJD.

Live-1.00 AM: 50 percent votes were cast in Tarapur seat

50.05 percent of votes have been cast in the Tarapur assembly seat. A total of 406 booths were made here for voting.
