Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal for amending the Rajasthan Integrity Mineral Concession Rules. With this, mining will be done in the mines of other areas including Makrana marble in the state in a scientific and environmentally friendly manner. This will also speed up the state's economy. Especially the issue of extending the duration of license of mines and increasing the width of mines has also been included in the proposal. The State Government has approved its notification format. In such a situation, the marble mining and industrial sector of the world famous Makrana will get a new life. For this, Nagaur District President of Congress and former Makrana MLA Zakir Hussain Gasawat made a much better effort and made Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Mines Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya aware of the marble mining area, the economy on them in detail. Due to not increasing the width of mines, he also made aware of the crisis hovering over the existence of marble mines in Makrana. Due to which the Chief Minister has taken action in the entire state in this matter. Now according to the proposal of the state government, various rules of Rajasthan Disposal Mineral Concession Rules-2017 have been changed. The marble of Makrana falls under the category of insignificant minerals. As per the resetted rules, the duration of mining leases of the insignificant minerals/quarry license will be increased from March 31, 2025 to 31 March, 2040 on the condition of payment of fixed premium. The premium, which is taken on the transfer of mining leases of insignificant minerals, will now be up to 10 times the dead rent/license fee and up to maximum of Rs 10 lakh and maximum Rs 5 lakh. The maximum limit of 4 hectares of issuance of disinterested mineral mining lease in accountable land will also be removed. On payment of the prescribed premium, the land available near the mining leases of the insignificant mineral/Quarry license to the mining lease/license should be allotted up to a certain area Can go Makrana Marble Mining sector is going to get the most benefit of this provision.
