To save rain water, anicut was constructed 2 months ago at a cost of about Rs 32 lakh from the MLA Fund in Samod town. Now in this monsoon season, there is a good arrival of water in this anicut. Now even after the rain stops, the rain water is coming to the anicut. The anicut, built between the hills of Samod, has a filler capacity of about 50 to 60 lakh liters and has so far arrived in more than 20 lakh liters of water. Local people said that the rain flowing so far after the construction of this anicut is still The water has accumulated, which has increased the ground water level in the area. Water has also increased in tubewells in Samod town. Samod Panchayat Samiti member Mahesh Yadav said that the drinking water crisis remains here due to the Chaumun assembly constituency being in the dark zone. Anicut was constructed from the MLA Fund as a pilot project to preserve rain water, which is a good step. He said that earlier there was a Rajora dam on the mountain in Samod town, but in 1996 the dam was broken due to heavy rains. Village Ramlal Sharma said that in the same way, an anicut is made to preserve rain water in the entire state. Going, people can get relief from the problem of water scarcity. The government should work on this project to increase the ground water level. Ramlal Sharma has now planned to manufacture such anicut in Hathnoda, Maharkalan, Dhavali Gram Panchayat.
